On Tuesday the Chicago Bulls officially announced that they will use the amnesty provision to waive Carlos Boozer in order to clear up cap space that will allow the team to formalize signings with Kirk Hinrich, Nicola Mirotic and Pau Gasol.
The Boozer era could not come to an end quickly enough for Bulls fans, who watched Boozer fail to maximize his talent more often than not in his four seasons in Chicago. Overall Boozer’s offensive numbers with the Bulls look productive enough, averaging 15.5 points and 9 rebounds per game. However, Boozer’s apathy on defense and lack of physicality on offense define his time in Chicago.
Bye bye Booze, you will always be remembered as the consolation prize gone horribly wrong during the Summer of LeBron.
